Memory Bones
Our new inquiry topic this term is called Memory Bones. It is a science unit and will involve us investigating fossils. The name of the topic was taken from the historical novel "Memory Bones" by Melaina Faranda. We will study this novel as it is the story of Mary Anning, one of the most famous fossil hunters in the world, who lived in the early years of the nineteenth century.

Move It Day
On Wednesday Saint Paul's School was raising money for Caritas to send to the Solomon Islands. First we did a clean up of the school. We had to do the sweeping of all the classroom decks. At lunch time there was a hotdog stand with popcorn or chips for a gold coin. For our Move It Day at play you could choose from tennis, small wheels and jump jam. By Jonty & Lawson

Kotuku Placemats
Our placemats are nearly finished and ready to be laminated. It will be great to have them adorning our desks next term. We got the idea from an artist called Shane Hansen. We used black vivid marker pens, dyes and gold paint to make them.
