Tom's visit

On Wednesday, Tom Ashley (Mrs Ashley's son) came to talk to the middle syndicate about the work that Nelmac do.  Tom showed us this video about the work that Nelmac do to trap pests (stoats, rats) to protect the Whio (blue duck).  Everyone thought Tom's job was pretty cool!

Speech Competition

Last week Kotuku class presented their speeches for homework. There were a lot of very good speeches but only two were chosen to go to the syndicate and compete against other year six's. Sam and Sapphire were chosen to go and they were very happy to get chosen.  Sam's speech is called "Superman vs Superdad" and Sapphire's speech is "Should Boy Bands be Banned?"  Good luck to both of you.
