Touch Rugby Tournament

On Friday the 31st of October it was the Top of the South Catholic Schools touch tournament. The schools that came were St Peter Chanel from Motueka, St Canices from Westport and St Joseph's from Central Nelson. It was being hosted at St Paul's school and it took a lot of organization and hard work! The Competitive Teams were playing at St Paul's and the participation teams played at Salisbury School across the road.

Our year 5-6 team the Rabbitohs, came second in the final against St Josephs. It was a close game, but St Josephs managed to secure a win. Also the year 7-8 competitive team came first place.

During the day we were able to buy food, drink and sweets in the tuck shop. Near the end of the day some of the prices were lowered. Eventually they were giving away free hot dogs and when they ran out of buns they gave away free sausages.

It's safe to say everyone had a awesome time.

Well done everyone!

As the coach for the day I wanted the All Stars to win the grade.
You all gave your best and that's all I could have asked for.
We tried different combinations some worked, some didn't. We made mistakes but no one got
upset with their team mates. You were honest with the ref's and played honestly which is
why your team received the Sportsmanship Award.
Congratulations All Stars. You deserve the Award.
