Eric Carle Exhibition

On Tuesday the 16 of June Kotuku class went to Nelson Public Library. A lady called Esther McNaughton showed us about Eric Carle's art work. Esther showed us a video about Eric Carle. After that we made three different types of patterns: sqiggles, lines and polka dots. Then we drew an animal like frogs, roosters, eagles, dogs, cats and more animals. Eric Carle got inspired by an artist called Franz Marc. He was in World War 1 and at the age of thirty six he died with his sketch pad on him.  Franz Marc drew an amazing blue horse that inspired Eric Carle to make his book "The Artist who Painted the Blue Horse".
